Diadora was created by the Italian shoemaker Marcello Danielli. Danielli started making shoes in order to improve the conditions of soldiers in the battlefield by making his shoes waterproof and comfortable. He then expanded and commercialised his products and created the brand Diadora, which means 'to share gifts and honour'. As the brand grew, more shoes were added to the collection to include shoes for soccer, rugby, athletics and mechanical sports, and today the range also includes shoes for basketball, volleyball, handball, fencing and boxing. As a leader in the sports footwear market for more than 60 years, this Italian brand is characterised by a unique style and high quality that enhances the best sports performances.
