Celebrity Wedding Dresses – Anna Camp

Anna Camp and Skylar Astin wedded on September 10th at a picture perfect vineyard location in Santa Ynez, California. Even more perfect was the dress the Pitch Perfect star got hitched in with her fellow co-star. The theme of the star studded day was elegant with subtle vintage touches and this was definitely the case for the actress’s dress. The Reem Acra piece stunned featuring an elegant sweetheart neckline and a ball gown styled tulle skirt. The ensemble was coupled with Vince Camuto heels and of course the wedding band designed by Lorraine Schwartz.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses – Ciara

Celebrity Wedding Dresses - Ciara

Ciara‘s wedding dress was really something from a fairy tale, described by other designers as simply ‘one of a kind’. Roberto Cavalli designer Peter Dundas worked with the singer to develop the inspiration she had of a princess in a castle. Like very other bride, Ciara wanted to enjoy wearing the dress as much as possible on the day. It consisted of a dress base with a half skirt that layered on the top. This was eventually taken off for the reception. Peter Dundas also described her as a ‘Velasquez painting’ in W Magazine saying she only wore a simple cross to go with it. If that’s not natural beauty, well we don’t know what is.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses – Olivia Palmero

This fashion guru already had her star studded look down in what her blog described as ‘bridal bliss personified’. Olivia Palmero wedded Johannes Huebl effortlessly wearing 3 elegant pieces styled by one of her favourites designers: Carolina Herrera. The wedding outfit consisted of a cream cashmere sweater, simply designed with scattered ostrich feathers. The white shorts and full length tulle skirt she wore with the sweater had the perfect cinch at the waist. Layers of satin, a high slit and silk floral detail complemented the ensemble, and was paired with simple wedding hair and make up. The fresh, natural look was common for Olivia’s signature style, not to mention the theme of the day itself.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses – Ashley Tisdale

Celebrity Wedding Dresses - Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale‘s simple and natural wedding included a lace wedding dress designed by Monique Lhuillier. The design had a body hugging outline that flattered the High School Musical star’s body perfectly. Even more romantic and eye-catching was the embroidered boho style rose flower crown that Ashley wore to accompany the dress. The crown incorporated some of her favourite looks and offset the classic theme of the dress, adding something a little extra for the outdoor themed day. Wedding planner for the event, Lisa Vorce, described the wedding as rustic, ethereal and bohemian. Perfect for a sunny September wedding in California.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses – Kim Kardashian

Celebrity Wedding Dresses - Kim Kardashian

Probably one of the most talked about wedding dresses ever, Kim Kardashian knew how to turn heads on her special day. The couture Givenchy gown looked stunning in front of the floor to ceiling backdrop of white roses… a picture impossible to forget. Kim chose designer and friend Riccardo Tisci to create the gown, the same man behind her infamous 2013 Met Gala gown. The dress included lace detailing on the entire body, a mermaid silhouette, and a cathedral length veil. Just when you thought that was it, the celebrity changed into another dress for the reception. It was none other than a pearl-embellished mini dress sparkling from head to knee, designed by creative director for Balmain: Olivier Rousteing.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses – Kate Middleton

Celebrity Wedding Dresses - Kate Middleton

With over 2 billion people watching her marriage to Prince William, Kate Middleton had to get it right. The Duchess of Cambridge wore her custom made gown designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen so beautifully. The hand cut French Chantilly and English Lace dress was coupled with Alexander McQueen shoes. Like most brides, Kate Middleton had a huge say in the styling of her dream dress. The Clarence House said she “worked closely with Sarah Burton in formulating the design of her dress“. We think this was one dress fit for a princess.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses – Jamie Lynn Spears

The beloved 22 year old Nickelodeon sweetheart married James Watson in March 2014. Britney Spears’s baby sister wore a floor-length white lace fitted gown with intricate detailing on the dress and dramatic veil. Jamie Lynn‘s daughter wore a look-a-like miniature dress and along with her mother held a pastel coloured rose bouquet. Jamie Lynn opted to keep the same V-neck gown on for the wedding reception where she let her long blonde locks down and added a cropped fur jacket.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses -Kaley Cuoco

Celebrity Wedding Dresses - Kaley Cuoco

One thing is certain, there is nothing traditional about this celebrity and her wedding was no exception. Kaley Cuoco decided to marry sweetheart Ryan Sweeting on New Years Eve 2013. The custom strapless petal-pink tulle gown she wore by Vera Wang was an unusual pick to say the least. The detailed bodice, Chantilly lace and sweetheart neckline, were accompanied by effortless beachy waves and simple jewellery. An elegant twist on a colour dominating dress.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses – Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union wore a custom Dennis Basso gown for her Miami wedding to Dwayne Wade, famous basketball player and fellow fashion obsessed personality. The actress’s strapless gown was simple, featuring a full skirt and fitted bodice with pleating put in at the waist. Simple jewellery was also popular here as Gabrielle decided to skip a necklace (what would be a popular addition). Some silver drop earrings and her white rose bouquet were the only accessories this celebrity needed to make a statement.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses – Chrissy Teigen

Celebrity Wedding Dresses - Chrissy Teigen

We already knew prior to the September wedding that John Legend and Chrissy Teigen were going to go all out for their extravagant ceremony. What we didn’t quite know was that the celebrity would stun in not one or two, but three show stopping gowns. Vera Wang was responsible for all three of the numbers including the eye catching red gown for the reception. The main event however, Chrissy Teigen’s wedding dress was a form fitting strapless gown featuring a dramatic skirt that flowed out to a train. The star showed off the tulle piece in a number of candid Instagram moments that had her followers gushing.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses – Lauren Conrad

Badgley Mishka was the choice for this feminine celebrity. Her dream wedding featured an incorporation of elegant white flowers both in the decor and on the fitted gown. Lauren Conrad married William Tell in an elegant ensemble that she had a hand in designing. It was complete with Chantilly lace, pearls, crystals and baby glass beads. Oh did we forget to mention it had a 10-foot train?

Celebrity Wedding Dresses – Jamie Chung

This silk and tulle Monique Lhuillier wedding gown worn by Jamie Chung for her wedding on October 30th was stunning. In fact the lace sleeved and long veil gives some similarity to Queen Elsa. Perhaps even more spectacular was the second number we saw the actress slip into for the reception and feature in Martha Stewart’s Weddings Spring issue. We think Jamie wears the Jonathan Simkhi piece with a high neck and Victorian silhouette beautifully.
