Knitwear is a necessity for most autumn outfits. The weather demands it. Nevertheless it’s not always easy to style it. You don’t want to look too casual in certain situations but you obviously also don’t want to be cold. For this reason we have put together some autumn outfits incorporating knitwear for every situation.
Autumn Outfits: Wearing Beige
Beige is a great autumn colour, particularly in knitwear pieces. The gentle colour combined with knitted fabric gives off a beautiful soft and feminine look. This Féte Impériale cardigan is an autumn must have. It’s a versatile piece and will match well with most clothes. Also, it is really comfortable and warm, making it even more ideal for the coming months. We paired it with the Halston Heritage grey dress as it suits most body shapes and is also very comfortable. The dress also makes the outfit look smarter – a feature that is much needed when knitwear (often associated with a casual look) is involved.
The ankle boots are an unusual pick for an outfit like this which is exactly why we chose them. They add an extra fashionista vibe to the outfit and we just love them. A necklace always makes a beautiful addition to an outfit made up of one-colour-tone pieces. It makes it more special and we thought this Talia Naomi pendant was the perfect match for the V neck dress. The bag brings the whole outfit together with the black background and yellow flowers. It matches the beige/yellow tones in the cardigan almost exactly and brings some pattern into the outfit as well.
Autumn Outfits: Paint it Red
For colour fans, we picked this Amenpapa jumper to brighten up a grey day. It’s comfortable and fun so we thought it’s perfect for a day when the weather is gloomy but you don’t want to be. To balance out the jumper and introduce a different texture, we chose these Hoss Intropia faux leather leggings. They’re comfortable and slightly shiny which makes them a bit different. To match the colourful jumper, we included Puma’s Disc 89 trainers. As this is a playful outfit, we decided to throw in Imachic’s backpack to top it off. Backpacks are very on trend right now and this particular one works very well with this look. For an already colour saturated outfit, only simple jewellery is needed. Talia Naomi’s Drop Me A Line necklace provides the perfect finishing touch.
Autumn Outfits: Comfy Chic
This outfit could be acceptable for work – depending on your job. The trousers are comfortable, and wide legs are very popular right now. On top we chose this lovely Lucie Brochard top as it adds just the right amount of colour. The cross over is stylish and the shoulder shape makes it smarter. The Stella cardigan by CZ Falconer softens the outfit’s serious tone but not enough for it to be considered casual. To finish we chose these gorgeous Kim Kwangs. The grey ties in with the cardigan and the splash of colour on the heel makes the outfit a little brighter.
