As fashion week approached, THEN AND NOW’s niche designer brands were out on full display in our 2016 pop up showroom. It was a delight to have had our friends over at Made.com furniture store in Soho assist us with this space. In the heart of the fashionable and electric city, we loved showcasing a variety of 2015/2016 collections by our luxury designer brands. There couldn’t have been a better opportunity for us to interact with customers. Open to the public last week, it was a chance to display everything THEN AND NOW, from the products to our brand new website.
Amenpapa, Fête Impériale, Edge of Ember and Fyne Garments were just some of the brands we featured in our showroom. With a wide range of themes, prints and colours the products were stunning situated next to the elegant furniture pieces at MADE.com. As a bonus, we offered everyone who stopped by a flyer with a 20% voucher code to put towards their next THEN AND NOW purchase. There was also the opportunity for people passing by to speak to founder Lian Michelson and ask questions about the clothing and beauty products or just about THEN AND NOW shop and magazine in general. As something to remember us by, we handed out cute THEN AND NOW shop tote bags with the ‘I’ve been online shopping’ slogan.
New customers could sign up to our newsletter for fashion and blog updates or even purchase something there and then. Excited faces and positive reviews dominated the week long popup. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to see us! And to those that missed the chance, don’t fret… all items displayed during the week are available on the site so head on over to our “Shop” section and indulge yourself. (Your wardrobe will thank you!)
THEN AND NOW Pop up showroom – The products
Florian London was one of the designer brands we showcased. They select the best quality skins and materials for a variety of classic contemporary bag shapes ranging from shopper bags to the classic tote bag. We especially loved displaying this blue Mini Vienna crossbody bag with a pair of De Siena low heeled pumps. We thought the colourful design of the shoes and the catchy slogan on the bag made quite a pair, don’t you?
These Kim Kwang shoes would often steal the show along with other ankle boots from the collection. With its colourful design and unique make we lined them up next to Sarah’s Bag’s Red Pill clutch. Together they are a unique addition to a wardrobe and ideal for an occasion requiring a statement bold outfit.
Women were not the only ones benefiting from our showroom. Our display also consisted of a range of products and designers featuring casual and formal menswear. Fyne Garments’s indoor for outdoor clothing has been a big hit for us so far this year, they are undoubtedly a newly trending brand. Angarde and Tobias were two more of the designers on display at our showroom: Tobias, an ethical fashion brand that designs comfortable and stylish men’s casual, cotton and linen shirts; and Angarde, a unisex and eco-friendly shoe brand that supplies summer slip-ons inspired by traditional espadrilles. We selected products from the two brands to create inspiration for how you could style them for a complete outfit.
Again, a massive thank you to all those that paid us a visit and took advantage of the opportunity to see (and feel and try on) selected pieces from a few of the incredibly talented designers we feature on the site. Let us know what you loved from the collections! For those that missed it, make sure to sign up to our newsletter to always stay up to date on our upcoming events.
