NEW YORK FASHION WEEK FW 2014 Review

This New York Fashion Week saw the presentations of over 100 Designers. It was really hard to squeeze all those impressive creatives in only one blog post. We tried to sum up the most viewed looks into the 4 categories here below. Nonetheless we noticed other interesting trends: Over The Knee Boots as seen in Ralph Rucci, Herve Leger, Giulietta and Alexander Wang’s shows; Deep Red Accessories as seen in the Rag&Bone and Helmut Lang’s shows; Wide Open Fringes as seen in Altuzarra and Herve Leger’s shows and an interesting Vertical Duality presented by Custo Barcelona.

Tomorrow London Fashion Week sees the light of day, will we see these trends there too?

Stay tuned for next week’s review!

PRINT OH PRINT – Nicole Miller, DVF, Custo and Alexander Wang went extravagant this fall winter. Who says you can’t wear more then one pattern better think twice. These visionaries found the way to mix prints with an over the top result.

OFF THE LINE – Because life is not always a straight line! Many designers this Fashion Week chose colour squares and asymmetrical cuts for their creations. Our favourite looks were those of Theory, Carolina Herrera, Prabal Gurung and Opening Ceremony: sexy and feminine!

CRISS CROSS – Traditional Jacket are so last season, this season is all about traversal opened jackets. With a retro accents these jackets are uber-minimalistic and chic, best example? Check out Karen Walker’s grey blazer!

ENLARGED – As seen in Menswear Trends for next Fall/Winter, Oversized coats and Jumpers are a Must, even ladylike designers such as Darek Lam and Victoria Beckham expand their horizons…and their sizes!
