We are so proud to have this ‘very American brand’ on our site. We fell in love with the patterns and the warmth of the designs this last winter and now we want to give you an insight look on the New York based accessory brand Cobra Society.

So we had a little chat with the person behind the brand, the beautiful and talented Alexandra Davis.

– What was your inspiration for the last collection?

The grit and the freedom of American western urban living, as well as the structural rigidity of architectural blueprints inspired Cobra Society’s AW ‘14 collection, ‘Concrete Venom.’

–  Who is your personal fashion icon?

Cleopatra. She was passionate and beautiful woman who gained power through intellect and seduction. She worked outside the lines and expressed that in her garments and jewelry – she paired Greek and Egyptian fashions, and high with low end. Her style was seductive and obscure, but always classy … and of course she was a fan of snakes.  I think she really wore her creativity and expressed her feelings through her garments, jewelry, hairstyles and make up.

–  What would you do if you weren’t a designer?

An interior designer. I love furniture but more the act of finding furniture. Searching for that one piece you really wanted. I am a patient furniture buyer, unlike other aspects of my life.

–  Who is the ultimate Cobra Society Man/Woman?

The Ultimate Cobra Society Woman and Man are driven yet comfortable with themselves. They accept their faults and focus on their best qualities to achieve success. Their style is sexy and chic, but never over-the-top. The Cobra Woman and Man value quality and handcraftsmanship and love their shoes.

–  How would you style your Sage Loafers for a day and night out?

Cream silk Stella McCartney jumpsuit, mustard wide brim beaver skin hat for day/ dry shampoo for night, my grandmothers baby ring as knuckle ring  + Cobra Society Sage Calf Hair Najet loafers.

Thanks Alexandra for your time…keep on with these gorgeous creations.
