Converse was created in 1908, by Marquis Mills Converse. Marquis Mills Converse believed the demand for independent shoe dealers was enough to almost guarantee success in a rubber shoe company with a fresh approach. In 1915 Converse began manufacturing athletic shoes and in 1917 the 'All-Star' basketball shoe was introduced. Today Converse is known as true innovators with a great amount of originality. A trustworthy brand that will never go out of fashion.
